Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a packed crowd at the Indraprastha Ramleela Ground on Tuesday, using the symbolic day of Vijayadashami to rally citizens.
But he did more than celebrate; he declared a national call to arms against those he called "enemies of Maa Bharati"—people who seek to tarnish the nation’s honour, sow division, and spread hatred for the culture.
"All institutions and political parties must stand united for the national interest," Modi said, echoing his earlier statements that no group receives discrimination under the banner of "Ram Rajya".
Drawing on the myth of Lord Ram, he urged India to emulate the hero’s unwavering resolve, reminding listeners that "no crisis can halt our journey" and that collective strength is the key to turning impossible goals into realities.
He framed the vision of a Viksit Bharat and an Atmanirbhar Bharat, insisting that harnessing the people’s talent and resources is the path to public welfare and national progress.
The speech sets the tone for the upcoming cabinet meeting on national security, scheduled for next week, where policy measures to reinforce social cohesion are expected to be debated.
