September 2026 saw TVS Motor ship 6.73 lakh units, up 24% year‑on‑year, reflecting a robust rebound across its product mix.
The two‑wheeler segment alone contributed 6.46 lakh units, a 23% rise from 5.24 lakh in September 2025. Local sales climbed 17% to 4.82 lakh units, underscoring the brand's strong domestic foothold.
EV sales, however, are the headline driver: 65,799 electric two‑wheelers sold – a 110% increase over 31,266 last year. In the second quarter, TVS logged 1.86 lakh EVs, marking a 133% YoY jump, hinting that the electric segment is outpacing the conventional fleet.
On the export front, 1.81 lakh units were shipped abroad, a 48% growth from 1.22 lakh a year earlier. Most of these were two‑wheelers, with exports reaching 1.64 lakh units, largely to Southeast Asian markets that are tightening emission norms.
Three‑wheelers also grew, 26,835 units sold, up 57% YoY, while Q2 sales totaled 1.9 million units across all segments – 1.8 million two‑wheelers and 78,475 three‑wheelers, respectively. These figures illustrate TVS's diversified portfolio and its ability to scale across categories.
Looking ahead, TVS plans to roll out a refreshed EV lineup in the coming quarter, targeting the 100–150 km range niche popular in tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities. Availability will roll out first in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with a price window aimed at the ₹12–15 lakh bracket to keep pace with rivals like Bajaj’s iQube and Honda’s PCX EV.
