Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhildi on Friday, opening a Rs 14,000‑crore development scheme that will fund new irrigation, roads and rural electrification. The visit was marked by an open‑jeep tour from the helipad to the Banas Dairy plant, where he handed over the 24th installment of the PM‑KISAN scheme to farmers.
Crowds swelled on both sides of the road, chanting slogans that the administration has vowed to stay until India is fully developed and self‑reliant. Local supporters carried placards quoting "Modi will not go anywhere till India becomes a top economy," echoing a recent comment from Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
In the open jeep, Modi was flanked by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, both of whom joined him in laying the foundation stone for a new community center. The event was livestreamed across state‑wide channels, drawing millions of online viewers.
The next day, Modi is scheduled to attend the Ekta parade in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, where he will lay the foundation for several additional projects, including a solar power plant and a new district hospital. The visit is part of a two‑day tour aimed at boosting local economies and showcasing the central government’s investment in rural infrastructure.
