Blue Energy Motors has just inked a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to join the central government’s PARIVARTAN scheme.
The scheme is designed to replace aging commercial vehicles across the Delhi‑National Capital Region by offering financial incentives and tax concessions to fleet operators who retire older, high‑emission trucks and buses in favour of zero‑emission electric models.
For logistics companies, the upfront cost of a new electric heavy‑duty truck can be offset by the scheme’s subsidies, while long‑term maintenance savings arise from fewer moving parts and lower fuel expenses.
Blue Energy Motors will now supply its electric trucks to operators in NCR, stepping into a segment already occupied by Tata, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra. These rivals boast proven electric platforms, but Blue Energy’s entry adds fresh competition and could drive pricing and technology improvements across the board.
Anirudh Bhuwalka, founder and managing director, said the partnership reflects the brand’s commitment to the government’s vision for sustainable transport and will accelerate wider adoption of zero‑emission trucks.
As the PARIVARTAN scheme rolls out next fiscal year, Blue Energy Motors plans to begin delivering its electric heavy‑duty trucks in the Delhi‑NCR region, offering fleet owners an immediate path to zero‑emissions.
