I know the heat— In a 16‑minute video posted on Twitter on Thursday, Oct.20, Dipke urged his followers to pause their demonstrations during the upcoming Dussehra festivities and focus on loved ones.
The plea follows the detention of CJP spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, who were arrested on Oct.13 for allegedly breaching a peace bond.
Their five‑day judicial custody began Oct.14, and the court extended it by two more days on Oct.22, keeping both men behind bars as the movement pushes for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation.
Dipke’s emotional appeal also included a plea to the families of the jailed leaders, saying they should not worry, and encouraging supporters to spend time with their relatives.
He dismissed comparisons to violent protests in Nepal, Bangladesh, and France, insisting that the CJP’s stance remains rooted in peace, compassion, and love.
A court hearing set for Oct.23 will decide whether the extension of Ranka and Das’s judicial custody will be upheld, a decision that could shape the CJP’s campaign.
