Mark Wahlberg sold a 2.5‑acre parcel in the gated Summit Club of Summerlin for $17.25 million in December 2024, a $1.65 million gain over the $15.6 million he paid in July 2022.
The lot, originally earmarked for a 37,694‑sq‑ft family home with a $25 million project budget, never received a building permit, and construction financing was never secured. County records show the project was stalled and the land remained vacant.
The sale closed via a trust that Wahlberg had used when purchasing the property. The deed lists Summit PS LLC as the buyer, a Delaware entity that is not registered in Nevada and whose owners remain undisclosed. Brian Dentel, a co‑trustee, signed the sale deed.
Wahlberg’s real‑estate activity in the area continues beyond this plot. He bought a townhome for $14.5 million in 2022 and sold it for $16.6 million the following year, then acquired a single‑family house for over $21 million.
With the property now under Summit PS LLC, the land sits untouched, awaiting a new developer or owner. The move fits a broader trend of speculative flips in Summerlin’s high‑end market, where 2021 saw 202 lots sell for $821.6 million—an average of more than $4 million per lot.
