The Delhi incident began Monday evening when a 17‑year‑old girl was allegedly assaulted by three men who posed as police officers in Astha Kunj Park, near Kalkaji Mandir. Delhi Police confirmed the arrests of the three accused, including the main perpetrator, Asif, who allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm and a knife. The girl was examined at AIIMS, and forensic teams collected evidence at the scene, with an FIR filed under the POCSO Act.
In Jamui, Bihar, a teenage boy and girl were reportedly stopped and harassed by a group on September 19, according to videos that surfaced online. Three individuals were arrested, and the police formed a Special Investigation Team after identifying about seven suspects from the footage. Nandan Yadav, the prime accused, was apprehended in an encounter on Tuesday.
