Instead of watching the live broadcast, Khan received an email while Eid Al Adha celebrations were in full swing; the notification sent a shockwave through his phone as the numbers matched all seven winning digits.
The lottery, launched in December 2024 with a Dh100 million top prize, switched to a twice‑weekly format in April 2026 offering a Dh30 million jackpot, making Khan’s win the first under the new structure.
