The 2027 update to the Innova Hycross is set to arrive on Indian roads in early 2027, with a launch price starting at ₹18.70 lakh. This aligns the MPV with the current price band of the Mahindra XUV700 and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, giving buyers a familiar budget while adding newer features.
The facelift will mainly refresh the exterior, borrowing cues from the new Toyota Hilux. A new grille, revised headlamps and tweaked bumpers will give the vehicle a more aggressive look, while the taillamps get a slimmer signature design. The overall silhouette stays similar, ensuring the spacious cabin the MPV is known for remains unchanged.
Inside, the most noticeable change is a larger 12.3‑inch touchscreen, up from the 10.1‑inch unit on some current variants. The instrument cluster may go fully digital on the strong‑hybrid models, and the connected‑car suite is expected to get a firmware update to support OTA services. Existing amenities like the 360‑degree camera and wireless smartphone pairing should carry over, keeping the practicality that families love.
Powertrain stays true to the 2.0‑liter petrol and 2.0‑liter strong‑hybrid options. The petrol engine delivers 171 hp and 204 Nm, paired with a CVT, while the hybrid combines a petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 181 hp through an e‑CVT. No major mechanical changes are expected, so owners can rely on the proven reliability of the current setup.
Pricing will likely see a slight bump over the existing ₹18.70–₹32.95 lakh range, reflecting the cosmetic and tech upgrades. In the MPV arena, a ₹20 lakh price point places the Hycross ahead of the Maruti Ertiga and on par with the Tata Safari, while still undercutting the premium price tags of the Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Venue. For buyers, this means an affordable yet feature‑rich family vehicle.
Toyota has not yet confirmed a precise launch window, but industry chatter points to a February 2027 release. Production is expected to begin in the second quarter, with city‑wide availability following shortly after. Keep an eye on dealer listings in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru for test‑drive dates and pre‑book options.
